What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Propel Leadership Training

Professional Program for Emerging Leaders, provides employees in the mechanical contracting industry, critical leadership skills needed to effectively lead projects, lead others, and lead leaders within their organizations.

Mechanical Service Professionals Program is a flexible, multi-module program designed to meet the needs of the different Service Roles within MCAKC Member Firms.

LiFT (Leveraging Industry Fundamentals & Theory), is designed to teach critical skills Project Managers need to be successful in the management of projects and in the cultivation of business relationships.

Foreman Training Program builds on a Foreman's already complex responsibilities, with courses in influencing, negotiating, and conflict resolution; time management and delegation; document management; becoming a safety leader; situational leadership; client and customer relations; planning and scheduling; and quality assurance and control.

Industry Orientation Program provides employees new to the mechanical contracting industry with foundational knowledge about the profession. It is taught by local professionals in the mechanical contracting industry.

The Student Chapter at Kansas State provides an opportunity for students to learn more about the mechanical contracting industry by way of attending regular meetings, participating in project tours, networking with contractors, and in taking part in community service projects with industry peers.

To insure that the best Mechanical Contractors in the Kansas City Area are Union Mechanical Contractors.

Labor Relations: To work closely with Plumbers Local Union 8 and Pipefitters Local Union 533 on specific initiatives that will strengthen our relationships and insure our combined competitiveness in the marketplace.

Contractor Education: To develop, deliver, and leverage relevant training for our membership as they strive to improve their organizational performance, development of staff, and the overall profitability of their companies.

Participation: We will continue to seek and or create opportunities that will reinforce our association, support volunteers, and deliver a benchmark of value to our membership and our industry.

Financial Stability, Active Membership, and Dedicated Volunteers.

Over the past 5 years, our association has developed several educational programs which have increased our overall offerings by over 800%. Our goal moving forward is to continue to identify industry related content that our members will find of value as well as to continually improve/update our current offerings.
